Right at the very first town I walked off the left edge and fell to death. I also died in the stupidest way possible. It was my first char ever and I didn't want to begin all over again after playing for 6 hours or so. But I think people should be able to do what they want with their game. Why I restore a hardcore char? Doesn't it defeat the purpose of hardcore? Well, it kinda does of course. I respawned when I opened the save in game(-30% pixels or something but had all of my items). Anyway, delete "hardcore" and substitute it with "survival" (no " " of course). If you have a hardcore character, then it should read hardcore (I think it was that?). Make a backup copy of that file just in case! Download and install Notepad++ (google it). If you have multiple character figure out the correct file by sorting in file explorer by date modified or something. Go to Starbound *main folder*/storage/player/ayer.
